Eagle has been using some of the finest engines in the making of their cars. Below is a description of some of the more common engine components used in the Eagle:

Part Number-EA102813750

This component consists of a Crankshaft made up of cast steel with a 1.889 inch rod and 3.750 strokes. The previous applications comprised of models such as the Ford 4.61, and Modular V8.

Part Number-EA103023250

This crankshaft is made up of cast steel with a rod of 2.1 inches and a stroke of 3.25 inches. It was used in Ford 289-302 W.

Part Number-EA103023400

This cast steel crankshaft consists of a stroke of 3.4 inches. It was used in Holden V8.

Part Number-EA103404000

This component consisted of 4.00 inches. It was used to a large degree in the Chrysler 340.

Part Numbers-EA103503480 and EA103503750

These components were used primarily in the Small Block Chev. The first one has a stroke of 3.480 inches and the second one consists of 3.750 inches.

Part Numbers-EA2034604500 and EA2034655900A6

These components had a forged crankshaft with a stroke of 88mm. The first one consisted of a six bolt flange and the second one of a 7 bolt flange. They were widely used in the Mitsubishi 4g63 until the year 1992.

Engine Issues

Having studied everything about Eagle engines, it’s necessary to work out the problems related to them as well. The three basic reasons behind engine problems are ‘poor fuel mix’, lack of ‘spark’, and lack of ‘compression’. There can be many other minor problems, but the above mentioned ones are the worst or most common. Below is more detailed information regarding these issues.

Poor fuel mix

There are a few common ways that what is known as a poor fuel mix can occur. They include running out of gas, which means simply that the engine is being provided with air only (absence of fuel). Clogging of the air intake means that there’s an absence of enough air and the presence of excessive fuel. Finally, when impurities are present or mixed into the fuel, you are facing a poor fuel mix.

Lack of ‘spark’

The spark might turn out to be weak or non-consistent due to the wearing out of the wire that leads to the spark plug. The spark plug itself being warn out or missing wires, or the accidental cutting of wires, and the occurring of spark, either too late, or too early in cycle are also reasons why proper spark may not occur.

Lack of ‘Compression’

If the fuel and air can’t be compressed in a proper manner, the combustion process will not properly take place. Reasons for lack of ‘compression’ include wearing out of piston rings, lack of proper sealing of exhaust or intake valves, or a hole in the cylinder.
