Part of this is because the net profit for used vehicles is still hovering a bit higher than the net profit for new. Dealers who once were not interested in cars with high mileages, are now allowing more high mileage used vehicles on their lots. The demand for trade-ins has increased, and dealers are relying on these to keep their doors open. The used market is still quite attractive to dealers.
