Ford Parts Help You Take Care of Your Car

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

If you own a Ford vehicle and you want it to run at its peak performance, you’re going to want to upgrade and replace your parts every once in a while. As the old saying goes, if you take care of your car, it will take care of you. Since your car is most likely a place where you spend a lot of your time, as well as a place you want to keep you and your family safe, it’s important to take every step necessary to make sure everything is running at peak performance.

In this case, we will look at a Ford Auto Part that might seem simplistic on the surface, but is actually one of the most important parts of any car on the road. We’re referring to the rearview mirror. Why is it so important? Because it’s used every time you’re in the car, and without it, you most likely wouldn’t make it a week without ending up involved in an accident. That being the case, you’re going to want a high quality rearview mirror, which in this case is the AllViewMirror.

The name AllViewMirror pretty much explains this rearview mirror’s primary benefit, but its benefits go way beyond that. For one, this mirror is shatterproof. So, if it smashes for any reason, you want find glass all over your car seats. It’s one less thing to worry about. This mirror is also vibration-free, so when you’re on those rough roads and feel like you’re on an amusement park ride, you will at least know that you’ll have a trusted view of what’s going on behind you. Another great feature of the AllViewMirror is that there are no blind spots. The safety aspect of this feature is evident. We’ve all had near-accidents or actual accidents due to blind spots. Eliminating this problem is a big advantage. And if you can’t stand glare at night, this is the right product for you. It reduces glare tremendously.

Overall, this is the safest rearview mirror you will find on the market. Not only that, but it snaps right on. There are no tools required. The AllViewMirror sells for around $50.

Ford Sports two new engines for the 2010 Fusion – 2.5l, 3.0l, and 3.5l

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

The 2010 Ford Fusion was recently named the 2010 Car of the Year by Motor Trend magazine. Among all the new features listed for the 2010 Ford Fusion are two new engines available on the 2010 models. The Fusion offer three engines choices, a new Duratec 2.5 liter in-line 4 cylinder engine that boasts 175HP, a new 3.0 liter V6 Flex-fuel engine with 240HP, and the solid performing Ford 3.5 liter V6 engine with 263HP.

All three engines have been matched with a new six-speed automatic transmission. According to Ford engineers, the new six-speed transmission along with the new V6 configurations will add a 10 percent boost in fuel efficiency. The new in-line 4 cylinder engine with the new transmission has been estimated to increase fuel efficiency by 17 percent.

The 2010 Ford Fusion with the 2.5 liter I4-cylinder motor has been rated at 23 MPG for city driving and 34 MPG for highway driving. These numbers make the 2.5 liter I4-cylinder engine the leader of mid-size sedan fuel economy. In addition, this new motor has improved horsepower and torque over the previous 2.3-liter engine. However because of intake variable cam timing technology, this increased power has better efficiency. Overall, the new engine is quieter and has less vibration than the old engine.

Ford engineers have reworked and improved 2009’s 2.3 V6 into a 3.0 liter V6 Flex-fuel engine, which means it can burn E85 Ethanol along with unleaded gas. This new V6 has 240HP, which is a 19HP improvement over the older model engine. The new 3.0 liter V6 has a new Cam torque actuated technology. This means the engine has a smaller oil pump and uses camshaft torsional energy instead of pressurized oil to move the camshafts. This improves the efficiency of the engine.
