GMC has upgraded the 2013 GMC Terrain Denali. It now has a more powerful 3.6 liter, 301 horsepower direct-injected V6 engine and is ready to take you, your family and all your stuff anywhere you need to go. This new V6 engine is a beast. Trips into the mountains or off-road are a breeze for this redesigned crossover. Its new facelift makes it look like a locomotive and the new, more powerful V6 engine gives it the power of one. All that satin chrome on everything from the grille, to the rocker moldings, mirrors, tailgate and bumper makes it look even more powerful and menacing.
GMC has totally redone the interior. The fake smoked mahogany, redone accent stitching, power adjustable front seats, leather steering wheel cover and general Denalification of the interior looks great. Add the rear-seat entertainment package, touch-screen audio interface with Intellilink and the navigation system and you can easily find your way anywhere and be comfortable the entire time. Plus it comes with loads of creature comforts and all the technology the modern driver and their passengers demand.
But it’s the powerful new engine that’s getting rave reviews. The 2013 GMC Terrain Denali added 50 pounds-feet of torque and 37 more horse power. It’s now faster and more powerful, yet still gets the same gas mileage as earlier models. Its 6 speed automatic transmission automatically downshifts to give it more power. New dual-flow dampers help you to customize the riding experience from soft to firm depending on your preference and gives it a smoother, more solid feel.
GMC has made the Terrain safer with the addition a collision alert system which can be set to near, mid or far and a lane departure warning which can be activated by simply flipping a switch on the steering wheel. While the responsiveness of the steering system is somewhat disappointing, overall this remade 2013 GMC Terrain Denali is a clear upgrade.
The new, more powerful engine was obviously not bought under a used engine for sale sign and allows the Terrain to compete quite nicely with larger SUVs.
