Topping off the list, here today are the top two best-selling cars from 2012.
2. Chevrolet Silverado
A powerful truck from the Chevy line, the Silverado starts at MSRP $23,590. Most have a powerful V8 engine, and the trucks can handle a load of nearly 2,000 pounds. All around, the Silverado has been touted as a tough, durable, and versatile truck for everyday use or for those occasional heavy loads.
1. Ford F-Series
Though sedans and mid-size cars may have composed most of the best sellers list this year, the pickup trucks made a good showing, with 3 on the list and 2 of the 3 at the top. In fact, the F-series and Silverado were the #1 and 2 best sellers in 2011, as well.
The Ford F-series trucks have been around for 60 years, and have in fact been the best sellers for nearly all of the past 30 years. The F-150 has an MSRP starting at $23,670, has a 3.7L V6 engine, and a maximum payload of over 3,000 pounds. These trucks have proved their mettle time and time again, as evidenced by their continued popularity.
There you have it. Since Monday’s post on #10 and 9, these are the top ten most popular cars of the last year.
