The BMW M4
By: Mike H.
BMW M lovers get a brand change from the M3 to the M4. The BMW M4 ‘s body style is wider and longer, but the sedan keeps its M3 namesake! The M4 is now lighter from the more extensive use of aluminum and a carbon fiber roof.
The M3 and M4 are the same in many ways (even some part #’s)
One thing that is noticeable different is the trunklid with a ducktail spoiler to keep it’s aerodynamic as good as the M3’s. BMW also stiffened and lightened it up by using carbon fiber inside the trunklid and fiberglass on top.
No more bushings
The M4 also did away with the rubber bushings on the sub frame and unibody attaching them directly together for more precise handling, no more washing out in tight corners – you feel a more immediate response in handling, the confidence you have while driving is incredible, says, Mike from swengines.com.
The one thing you can expect from the lack of rubber is every minor bump, but you know you are in complete control of this beast when taking around the corners and switching lanes at, well shall we just say “high speeds”.
Did I mention the steering?
The new BMW has electric steering – the response of this is incredible to say the least (not called The Ultimate Driving Machine” for nothing)!!! It’s up there with the best of the best.
Is She Fast
The M4’s twin turbo 3 liter six 493 HP (in the GTS Edition) dual clutch paddle shifting gearbox is fast, clocking 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. You tell me!
