The
Chevrolet HHR is retro design vehicle built to resemble automobiles of the 1940's era. The HHR (which stands for Heritage High Roof) was launched by GM as a compact station wagon and is slotted below the Equinox. It was first formally introduced at the 2005 Los Angelos Auto Show by Chevrolet. The concept ca was designed by Brian Nesbitt, formerly a designer at Chryler, who also played a signifigant role in the design of Chrysler's PT Cruiser.
In 2007 the HHR was redesigned for release in the 2008 model year. The HHR SS turbo charged model features a 2.0 Liter turbocharged
EcoTec LNF I4 engine that 260 bhp with the optional 4 speed transmission.
Chevrolet has introduced HHR SS Panel concept car and production is set for the newest model to be available to the public by mid 2009.The

- 2.4L (VIN P, 8th digit) oil cooler
- 2.2L (VIN D, 8th digit) exhaust manifold is not drilled and tapped for AIR check valve
- 2.2L (VIN D, 8th digit) exhaust manifold is drilled and tapped for AIR check valve
- 2.4L (VIN P, 8th digit, opt LE5)
- 2.2L (VIN D, 8th digit, opt L61) exhaust manifold is not drilled and tapped for AIR check valve
- 2.2L (VIN D, 8th digit, opt L61) exhaust manifold is drilled and tapped for AIR check valve
- 2.0L (VIN X, 8th digit, opt LNF)
- 2.2L (VIN D, 8th digit, opt L61)
- 2.4L (VIN V, 8th digit, opt LE9)
- 2.2L (VIN B, 8th digit, opt LE8)
